Description
Poster, "The Star of Hope Continues to be Ours", printed by the Chile Committee for Human Rights.

The poster has a white background, with a collage of images in the centre. According to the print at the bottom of the page, the collage is from an original collage by Marian Bruce. The image shows members of the military, workers, a mother holding a child, the word Chile, and a blue star, and is coloured in red, yellow and mauve. At the top-left of the collage reads "The star of hope continues to be ours, ours, ours" with each of the repititions on a serparate line. Beneath reads "Once more they want to stain my country with workers blood. Those who talk of liberty and whose hands are blackened. Those who wish to separate the mother from her sons and want to reconstruct the cross which Christ carried" - a stanza from Victor Jara's song, Winds of the People, in 1973.
