Appointment of PHM Trustees

Contract (Terms of appointment are based on three year terms; up to a maximum of three terms)

People’s History Museum (PHM) in Manchester is looking to recruit a number of new members to the Board of Trustees with a broad spectrum of skills and experience.

PHM is the national museum of democracy, telling the story of its development in Britain: past, present, and future.  The museum provides opportunities for people of all ages to learn about, be inspired by and get involved in ideas worth fighting for; ideas such as equality, social justice, co-operation, and a fair world for all.

The main role of the PHM Trustees is to assist the Chair, Jan Royall, in meeting the Board’s overall responsibilities in accordance with Charity Commission and Companies House guidance, as well as the funding requirements of both Arts Council England (ACE) since PHM was given National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) status, and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA).
