New 2020 programme: exploring migration
We are launching a year long programme of new exhibitions, events, learning activities and creative collaborations that will explore the theme of migration. New exhibitions will open in March and we’ll have new learning resources to help groups explore this topic. Witness two different experiences of migration through our Living History performances No Bed of Roses – From the Caribbean to Manchester and Moving Stories – Migration & Identity. Discuss, challenge and compare important migration issues and opportunities that have affected people historically and in today’s world through a Have Your Say session (available on request).

New digital experiences
In February we’ll be launching two new digital experiences in our main galleries. A new gaming interactive exploring the harsh working conditions at the Bryant and May match factory in 1888, and a new augmented reality (AR) experience where visitors can get up close to objects from PHM’s collection and hear the voices of those who were involved in strikes during the 1970s and 1980s. Complementary learning resources coming soon, get in touch on learning@phm.org.uk for more details.
