Gain a unique perspective on the Re/Assemble exhibition (showing until Sunday 3 January 2027) with a bookable group tour led by a member of the team at IAP:MCR who created the exhibition.
Re/Assemble explores the 1988 Section 28 protest in Manchester and features new artwork commissions that respond to its legacy.
During the tour, your group will:
Tours will be available during LGBT+ History Month 2026 (1-28 February 2026) and will be led by IAP:MCR’s Artistic Director and Re/Assemble curator, Jez Dolan, or IAP:MCR Director and LGBT writer and public historian, Joshua Val Martin.
IAP:MCR is a Manchester based arts organisation that creates and presents work across the visual and performing arts by artists who identify as queer. Re/Assemble is part of a project called PROTEST! – Documenting Dissent, which is supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

When visiting the exhibition in person you can access BSL interpreted films, braille transcriptions, large print guides, and audio narration of exhibition content. You will also find magnifying glasses, colour overlays and ear defenders.
