“Something isn’t working! The politicians keep telling us that the economy is getting better and our city is growing but, everywhere we look, costs are going up, anonymous flat blocks owned by offshore companies are going up, littering and fly-tipping are going up. And all the while, ordinary people’s voices are ignored.” Sortition Foundation
Sortition Foundation is campaigning for a permanent Citizens’ Assembly of Greater Manchester and the launch will take place at People’s History Museum. A lottery would select ordinary people from across Greater Manchester – nurses, bus drivers, shop workers, neighbours and friends – to bring them together to make decisions on the things that affect us all.
Attend the campaign launch to learn more. There’ll be food, discussion and fun, and you’ll leave ready to get involved and make a difference.
Everyone welcome!
The Sortition Foundation is a not-for-profit social enterprise whose mission is to promote the empowered use of citizens’ assemblies.
