The Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign is holding an evening of discussion, music and film, showing how the state has used violence to repress working class action, highlighting the historical links between Peterloo in 1819, Orgreave in 1984, and today.
Award winning musician Joe Solo and Rebekah Findlay will perform songs from their Never Be Defeated album, telling the stories of the 1984-1985 Miners’ Strike as seen through the eyes of the community around Hatfield Main Colliery. Come along and meet activists who were involved in the strike, including those who experienced the police riot at Orgreave in June 1984.
