In celebration of Women’s History Month, Olympias Music’s Women’s Voices Choir present a series of songs on the theme of modern femininity, written in collaboration with some of Manchester’s finest electronic artists.
The lyrical content of these works is drawn from the personal experiences and reflections of the singers as female refugees and asylum seekers, and will be performed alongside musical director, Anna McLuckie and guest musicians, Sam Vicary (Hunrosa) and Sean Rogan (Diving Station). In this exciting new pairing, Women’s Voices, Anna, Hunrosa and Sean will experiment with live sampling and looping to bring the audience closer to the nature of these new works.
Audience members will also have the opportunity to contribute to the performance and participate through a short Q&A at the end of the show.
Family Friendly event, suitable for all ages
