Description
The Railway Women's Guild was established in 1900. The Guild was a social organisation for the wives and daughters of railway union members. It raised funds for the union's Orphan Fund, and ought to assist the unions achieve their objectives.

In the political sphere the Guild's objectives complemented those of the male-dominated railway unions. In 1906 the Guild took the initiative in founding the Women's Labour League.

Materials: Banner of red moire silk rep, hand embroidered and lined with beige cotton sateen.
