This poster was produced by the Anti-Apartheid Movement, a British organisation that was at the centre of the international movement opposing Apartheid in South Africa and Namibia. Apartheid was a system of institutionalised racial segregation that existed from 1948 until the early 1990's. Many individuals as well as organisations refused to buy products from South Africa during this period as a way to protest the system of Apartheid and show solidarity with the non-white population.
