A large red poster with white text reading "WEST WOLLWICH PARLIAMENTARY ELECTION 1931 / WORK & VOTE for JOSEPH REEVES / THE LABOUR & CO-OPERATIVE CANDIDATE" This poster was produced to try and win votes ahead of the 1931 UK General Election in which Arthur Henderson led the Labour Party against a three-party coalition, including previous Labour leader and Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald. Labour lost the election and MacDonald's three-party government continued to lead through the Great Depression.
