Description
Card of honour presented during the Spanish Civil war to International Brigade member Thomas Mitchell.
The front of the card shows a crowned woman, crying, with the Republican tricolour flag behind it. In front is a figure with closed eyes. The weeping woman is removing a laurel wreath from the head of the figure. At the bottom the card reads "CARNET DE HONOR de los combatientes Internacionales de la 35 Division". Inside, the card has Spanish text printed, and then the name Thomas Mitchell handwritten at the bottom. The reverse has a simple map of Spain with the words "ACCIONES de gloria en los prentes de ESPANA".
