Description
Wooden walking stick, used by MP Michael Foot.
After a car crash in 1963, in which he suffered severe injuries, Michael Foot used a walking stick for the rest of his life. At the time, Foot was the Member of Parliament for Blaenau Gwent Ebbw Vale and he later went on to become Deputy Leader and then Leader of the Labour Party.
This stick was broken in two whilst emphasising a point during a meeting.
