Description
A mural made using oil paints depicting a scene of the miners strike in 1985. The painting features union banners including a Women Against Pit Closures banner and the Kent area National Union of Mineworkers banner. Beyond the banners a landscape scenery of hills, rivers, and seas can be seen, amongst which are scattered mining collieries and mining towns. This mural was painted by David Lockett in 1985, towards the end of the miners strike.
