folding cabinet,list & f/g certificate
Dispensations, United Society of Boiler Makers and Iron Shipbuilders, below about 1889 and above 1862
These dispensations were sent by the Boiler Makers' head office to local branch societies. Meetings were not official unless the cabinet was open and non-members were not allowed to see the certificate. The top frame was probably decorated by a Manchester sign painter.
