Description
White cotton, knitted Jersey T-shirt with printed slogan on both sides (associated with Nottingham city NALGO banner prelim-1.429). The basic construction consists of a simple tube with seams across the shoulders, short sleeves and a 3cm wide ribbed collar sewn in at the neck. The cuffs and hem are turned in approx 2.8cm and all the cut edges are finished with over-locking. All stitching is done by machine. A makers/laundry label is situated at the back of the neck, this is made from a stiff plastic coated or synthetic fabric, it reads 'SCREEN STARS®' (this is probably the maker of the t-shirt only and doesn't relate to the printed design. Also on the label is the size 'M' for medium and 'MADE IN THE U.S.A' the laundry instructions are on the reverse side.

The text is printed using bright green pigment, on the front side it reads 'NOTTINGHAM CITY NALGO / STRIKE WHILE IT'S HOT / SUMMER '89' on the reverse it reads 'OFFICIAL / PICKET' all in capital letters and probably screen printed. The text fills about a third of the space on the face and a quarter of the space on the reverse.
