Description
Two-drawer wooden table or desk, ornate legs, castors on each. Small rectangular brass plaque at front states: 'This Table Formerly Owned By Richard Cobden Was Presented By Prince Kropotkin 1917'. To whom presented is not stated. This table and a simlilar brass-plaqued chair (NMLH.1993.108) belonged to Richrd Cobden (1804-1865) of the Corn Law League, and was subsequently owned by Peter Kropotkin (1842-). Donated to the museum by Brighton Trades Council.
