Double A4 printed sheet music with title at the top "Patriot's Hymn of Peace. Words, music and m.s. by Thomas Baron Pitfield." The sheet music includes lyrics for four further verses on the right hand page. At the bottom, text reads "Published by the author, 116, Clark Road, Wolverhampton".
Thomas Pitfield was a composer, poet and artist and lifelong pacifist and peace campaigner. During the Second World War, he registered as a conscientous objector and joined the Peace Pledge Union, for whom he wrote the Patriot's Hymn for Peace. This was produced when he was art master at Tettenhall College in Wolverhampton.
