Description
This leaflet gives details of a rally held in Victoria Park, London, in July 1906 by the Women's Social and Political Union to protest the incarceration of three Suffragettes and to demand 'the immediate enfranchisement of women'.

The leaflet has been annotated by an unknown person in pencil. Where it says 'Votes for Women' and 'To demand the immediate enfranchisement of women' the word 'some' has been added so it reads 'Votes for SOME women' and 'enfranchisement of SOME women'. This addition is presumably in reference to the limited enfranchisement achieved by the initial 1918 Representation of the People Act which restricted women's suffrage to women over 30 years old. Suffrage wasn't extended to all adult women until 1928.
