A green banner with yellow text. In the centre is a green tree with the sun rising behind it on a white background.
This banner was designed by the branch publicity committee during the 1970s and made by clients at a Social Services Department Day Centre in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.
The design in the centre is based on the Nottinghamshire County Council logo. The banner was used extensively, particularly during the health pay dispute of 1981 to 1982, when NALGO workers in Nottingham joined nurses, miners, and other trade unionists in a public show of support for health workers in their campaign for better pay and conditions.
