Description
A single sided banner made from one piece of white, plain woven cotton fabric, probably cut from an old bed-sheet or similar. The text is painted by hand in large capital letters, outlined in black marker pen. The text is written in three lines with the main message top and bottom ‘NO TO THE BEDROOM TAX’ with a website address, in smaller lettering, using just marker pen in the centre ‘www.nobedroomtax.co.uk’.

The No Bedroom Tax campaign was set up in Greater Manchester to protest against the 'under occupancy charge' or Bedroom Tax, which meant people living in a housing association or council properties had their housing benefit entitlement cut if they were deemed to have one or more spare bedrooms. The 'No Bedroom Tax' campaign organised a number of protests and rallies accross Greater Manchester, fighting for the Bedroom Tax to be abolished.
