Description
Postcard depicting black and white figures in silhouette. Two women stand to one side while seven men, their trades or professions identified by their clothing, make their way to the Polling Station. The caption explains ‘Seven to two! Seven to eight million men have VOTES. Only one-and-a-half to two million women would be entitled to vote if what we are asking for is granted.’ An attempt to allay the fear that women would dominate the electorate if the Conciliation Bill was passed. Printed and published by the Artists’ Suffrage League, 259, King’s Road, Chelsea.
