Description
Metal badge with a yellow primrose within an intricate gold border. At the bottom is "Imperium et libertas" ("Control and freedom" in Latin") and the initials of the Primrose League, PL. The Primrose League was an organisation to spread Conservative principles in the UK, founded in 1883.
The badge belonged to Mrs Mary Ann Sinden, member of the Primrose League who sat on the executive council of the Hastingâs and St Leonardâs branch.
