A white poster with black text reading "THE COMMUNIST PARTY'S APPEAL TO TRADE UNIONISTS / UNEMPLOYMENT IS STILL RISING / FIGHT THE BLANESBURGH REPORT", around 1925. The Communist Party of Great Britain established in 1920. This poster urges members of trade unions to take a stand against the Blanesburgh report, a proposed law by the unemployment insurance committee which wanted to take away dole money for people not in employment. It is named after Robert Younger, Baron Blanesburgh and was widely opposed by Communists and trade unions. This poster was printed by the Dorset Press and published by the Communist Party of Great Britain. The back of the poster features a pencil illustration of land, titled "KING (supreme landlord), Tenant in chief, owning various manors, sub tenant, Lord of the manors" a diagram is drawn and labelled "Common Pasture Land" with an illustration of a house, fields,
trees, and roads. Condition: fragile, rips along the edges and crease lines visible. The upper right corner has been blackened with dirt.
