Men's Co-operative Guilds were established around the United Kingdom in the late 19th and early 20th Centuries, and were closely linked to Co-operative societies. In 1911, the National Co-operative Men's Guild was formed to support the branches under the supervision of the Central Education Committee. The Hove branch joined the National Co-operative Men's Guild in 1934.
