Peter Kerrigan was one of the founding members of the Communist Party of Great Britain and Harry Pollitt was general secretary from 1929-39 and again in 1941-1960. They both ran for election multiple times as Communist Party candidates- this poster is for the 1951 General Election. The poster has brown tape on the back to reinforce the edges; the colour of the tape can be seen from the front of the poster.
