Title
Will it burst too?

Date
1910

Description
Free Trade poster, published by the Free Trade Union, around 1910

This poster was based off of a popular soap commercial at the time. Joseph Chamberlain is shown blowing bubbles in which are written various policies, and watching as they burst. Three bubbles already burst read "Old Aged Pensions", "Three Acres and a Cow" (referring to a small holdings policy which failed in the late 19th century) and "South Africa for British Labour". This example of the poster is damaged over the final, unburst, bubble, which reads "Protection".

Beneath the image is written "Will it burst too?" referring to Chamberlain's policy of Protectionism over free trade.
