Description
White apron, designed to look like a traditional nurse's uniform apron, embroidered with protest slogans and quotes from Anurin Bevan. The apron was worn on various protests against the underfunding of the National Health Service. Included on the apron is a traditional nurses watch, and two safety pins to fasten the apron onto clothing.

This was made in response to a Fabric of Protest workshop at People's History Museum, which focused on protest clothing. It is one of three aprons the makers produces; one a prototype and two more sturdy examples used on demonstrations. This apron was worn to local and national demonstrations, including the Conservative Party Conference in Manchester, 2017, and the NHS 70th Anniversary March in 2018.
