Description
A white poster with red and blue image and black text. The image is of Willie Gallagher, a Scottish trade unionist and one of the founding members of the Communist Party of Great Britain. Gallagher died in 1965 and this poster advertises an exhibition in Paisley, where he lived, looking back at his life and achievements. Red text underneath the image reads "A WORKING CLASS AGITATOR" in a graffiti-like font. Black text underneath reads: "The life and times of Willie Gallagher / Paisley Museum and art gallery 23rd December 1981 - 23rd January 1982 / Open Monday to Saturday, 9AM till 5PM" The print was designed by Docherty in 1981. Condition: good, rough edges and slightly yellowed
