- This badge and its message is showing solidarity with ambulance crews. Probably over pay disputes and linked to trade union work. There was a significant British ambulance strike in 1989-1990 over pay for ambulance crews. The government pay offer of 7.5% was rejected, and five ambulance workers unions demanded a 25.8% rise. This strike was during Thatcher's leadership.
