Description
A red poster with large black letters reading: "No German Bases in Britain", August 1961. During the Cold War, Britain occupied West Germany alonside other Western Bloc countries whilst Russia held East Germany. 1961 was the year of the Berlin Crisis, when Russia issued an ultimatum to the Western Bloc to pull their military forces out of Berlin, a contested space. This resulted in the creation of the Berlin Wall, to separate East and West Berlin. Condition: good, there is a crease in the middle where the poster has been folded and some of the text is peeling away.
