Description
An A2 silk-screen print of a large tank, with another tank inside, and a smaller tank inside this. This is supposed to represent the birth of tanks, and the larger tank symbolises a womb. Sprague references in his preface (see accession number NMLH.2021.150.1). He says "One of a ghastly womb that gives birth to a tank - to give / birth to a tank...." This prints are anti-tank, and anti-war. This is the ninth in a portfolio of anti-military prints by political cartoonist Ken Sprague in 1968
