Description
A poster using the colours of the Cuban flag along with text in yellow, brown, and red. The text reads "With Cuba" in three different languages; English, Spanish, and French ('Avec Cuba', 'Con Cuba', 'With Cuba'). Above the text hangs the Cuban flag. This poster was perhaps produced as part of the Cuba Solidarity Campaign, active in the 70's and 80's to protest the US embargo on Cuban goods. The US embargo on Cuba is the oldest in the world, originally aiming to weaken Cuba and overthrow the revolutionary government led by Fidel Castro, the embargo has been revisited and reformed many times since but ultimately still remains in place. The poster has a rip along the centre of the bottom edge of the poster.
