Part of "100 posters, socialist image, designed by Ettore Vitale for the direction of the Italian Socialist Party." This is part of a collection of one hundred Italian Socialist Party posters designed by artist, Ettore Vitale. This poster is large - the top half is red, and the second half is black. The red half appears as if it is leaking onto the second half, like the red crack. This could symbolise the spread of communism. There is white text on the poster saying "25 Aprile, Partito Socialista Italiano." This translates to "25 April, The Italian Socialist Party." There is the PSI logo on the top of the poster - this has a white hammer and sickle in the centre. This poster was made in 1973 - before the change of the hammer and sickle image to a red carnation.This poster is in good condition.This is a national holiday in Italy which commemorates the victory of the Italian resistance movement against Nazi Germany and the Italian Social Republic. This poster is in good condition.
