"The threat of nuclear war grows daily. Increasing numbers of women realise the need to act in their own way to prevent it. They are joining long-established groups or forming new ones. They have different political perspectives and different ways of working, so there is a demand for communication between them, in order to avoid duplication and ain strength from a genuine exchange of ideas and a common pool of resources.
The WOMEN'S PEACE ALLIANCE exists to promote peace in all its aspects, enabling women to support each others' initiatives for disarmament and the prevention of war. We are an alliance of women's groups and individual women with a variety of strategies for achieving these objectives, who have created a network through which we can communicate with each other. Through the alliance, we also seek to encourage other women to become active on this issue, py providing resources and information.

As a memeber, you'll get a regular newsletter telling you what other owmen are doing, with space for your activities and ideas. You would be part of a rapid information service, have access to information packs, films, videos, books, and could come to meetings and skill-sharing workshops provided by other women in the alliance.
Annual memberships: £15 for national organisations / £1.50 per member for local groups / £5 for individuals / £2.50 for unwaged indidivuals, pensioners
