Description
This is part of a larger collection of fifty posters produced for the Italian socialist party from 1892 to 1970. This is a poster made of white card - there is an image on the front. This shows a print of a drawing of a woman with her eyes shut, holding broken handcuff chains which are around two fists - she is wearing a dress with text that reads "Giustiva sociale", this means social justice. Surrounding this image there are green leaves and red carnations, with banner ribbons at the top reading "vii congresso. socialista italiano." This translates to " Poster for the 7th Congress of the Italian Socialist Party (PSI)," The bottom of the poster says "imola - sette, 1902." Imola is the location of the congress, and sette translates to September. The bottom left of the poster has smaller black text which says "Bologna 1902 - Zamorani e Albertazzi." The bottom right of the poster has a signature, which reads "majami."
