This portfolio collection is 1/4 of a larger collection of fifty posters produced for the Italian Socialist Party (PSI) from 1892 to 1970. This part consists of 12 posters produced for the PSI between 1946 and 1970. This poster features an illustration of a hammer and sickle (the communist symbol) in front of an open book. In the background an industrial skyline can be seen over a yellow sunset. Black text at the top reads: "Italian Socialist Party / Of proletarian Unity" whilst text at the bottom reads: "Constituent 1946" (translated from Italian) The original design was likely made in 1946 and has been reproduced for this portfolio.
