Description
This portfolio collection is 1/4 of a larger collection of fifty posters produced for the Italian Socialist Party (PSI) from 1892 to 1970. This part consists of 12 posters produced for the PSI between 1917 and 1945. This poster features an illustration of a man standing on a pile of bricks and waving a red flag with the words "Freedom to the Italian People" on. Red text to the left of the image reads "Socialist almanac 1931" whilst text underneath the image reads "Published by the Italian Socialist Party / Section of the International Socialist Workers" (all text translated from Italian) This poster was originally produced for the PSI in 1931 however this reproduction was likely made around 1970 as part of the 50 poster collection.
