Description
This portfolio collection is 1/4 of a larger collection of fifty posters produced for the Italian Socialist Party (PSI) from 1892 to 1970. This part consists of 12 posters produced for the PSI between 1917 and 1945. This poster features an illustration of a woman embroidering a red flag with the hammer and sickle against a background of a field of wheat. A factory can be seen in the distance. Black text at the top of the poster reads "Italian Socialist Party" with text at the bottom reading "1921" (translated from Italian) This poster was originallyu designed as a postcard in 1921 but has been reproduced and enlarged for this collection, around 1970.
