Description
This portfolio collection is 1/4 of a larger collection of fifty posters produced for the Italian Socialist Party (PSI) from 1892 to 1970. This part consists of 12 posters produced for the PSI between 1917 and 1945. This poster features an illustration of a hand holding a torch. Red letters emerge from the top of the torch to spell out "Socialism" and the background is more red swirls. The hand has a manacle around the wrist and appears to be emerging from a crowd or barricade. This may have originally been a postcard which has been enlarged for this collection.
