This portfolio collection is 1/4 of a larger collection of fifty posters produced for the Italian Socialist Party (PSI) from 1892 to 1970. This part consists of 12 posters produced for the PSI between 1917 and 1945. This poster features an illustration of two men and a women planting a red flag in the earth against a backdrop of farmland. Text at the top reads: "The Socialist People / PSI Piedmontese newspaper" Piedmontese is a language spoken in the Piedmnt region of Northern Italy and the PSI had a newspaper dedicated to it in the earlier years of their organisation. Text at the bottom reads "subscription conditions" and lists prices of a subscription to The Socialist People. The original design would have been created around 1930 however it has been reproduced for this collection in 1970.
