Part of "100 posters, socialist image, designed by Ettore Vitale for the direction of the Italian Socialist Party." This is part of a collection of one hundred Italian Socialist Party posters designed by artist, Ettore Vitale. This poster is large, with a white and red background - the background is predominately a red colour, as there is a large image of a red carnation which occupies most of the poster. The red carnation is a symbol of socialism and the labour movement. The top of the poster has white text saying, "25 Aprile, Rinnovare Lo Stato, Governare Il Cambiamento." This translates to - "25th April, Renew the state, govern change." This is referring to the national holiday in Italy which commemorates the victory of the Italian resistance movement against Nazi Germany and the Italian Social Republic. The top left of the poster has the Italian Socialist Party logo, which has a hammer and sickle,and the red carnation. This poster is in good condition.
