Part of "100 posters, socialist image, designed by Ettore Vitale for the direction of the Italian Socialist Party." This is part of a collection of one hundred Italian Socialist Party posters designed by artist, Ettore Vitale. This poster is large, with a light grey background. There is black text, the Italian Communist Party logo, an image of a red carnation and the Italian flag colours diagonally coming down the paper. The logo has the image of a hammer and sickle inside. The black text says "il socialisti salutano il compagno di lotta Sandro Pertini presidente di tutti gli italiani la repubblica e' piu' forte l'italia e' piu' unita" - this translates to "the socialists greet comrade Sandro Pertini president of all Italians, the republic is stronger, Italy is more united." Sandro Pertini was an Italian journalist and socialist politician - he was a passionate opponent of the totalitarian regime. . He criticized all forms of colonialism, as well as corruption in the Italian state and within the socialist party, where he kept an independent political position.This poster was originally produced in 1978 and is in good condition.
