This poster is part of a collection of 100 posters designed by Ettore Vitale for the Italian Socialist Party (PSI) between 1973 and 1991. The posters promote a range of events and campaigns using the colours of the Italian flag- red, white, and green, along with motifs of carnations, rainbows, and stars. This poster is large with a brown background. The top of the poster shows an image of a figure holding a gavel, surrounded by red carnations. Underneath this figure there is an image of a green banner with white text - this says "1892-1982 novantesimo partito socialista. " - this means 1892-1982, 90th year of Socialist Party. Underneath this there is the Italian Socialist Party logo, which has carnations and a hammer and sickle. The bottom of this poster says "il rinnovamento socialista ha una storia psi tesseramento 1982", which translatesto "The Socialist Renewal has a history. PSI membership in 1982."
