Description
Red postcard with an image of a white dove. There is black text over this dove which reads, "Great Carthage waged three wars - it was still mighty after the first, still inhabitable after the second. It left not a trace after the third. Brecht." The reverse of the postcard reads "Great Carthage. Carthage lay on the North African coast, near presenday Tunis. The main trading rival of Rome. Its utter destruction is a commonplace in classical studies." Eugen Berthold Friedrich Brecht, known professionally as Bertolt Brecht, was a German theatre practitioner, playwright, and poet.
