A large poster featuring a cartoon of a wall that has been spraypainted to read "INCREASED MORTGAGES / COUNCIL HOUSE RENTS UP / SCHOOL MEALS UP / WOMEN SUFFER / RUN DOWN PUBLIC TRANSPORT / HOSPITAL CLOSURES / RATES UP" the hand that is doing the spray painting holds out a can with Margaret Thatcher's face on the side. Black text at the top reads "STOP THE TORY VANDALS" and red text at the bottom reads "VO~TE LABOUR". This poster was produced by the Labour Party in 1980 ahead of the May local elections. It takes a strong stance against then-Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher's policies of austerity and privitisation.
