Description
Large poster advertising a meeting for the 20th anniversary of the Daily Worker.
The poster features a drawing of a crowd holding placards and banners, which create the white spaces where names of speakers are mentioned, and the details of the celebration are given. Many members of the crowd hold their fists raised, in an international symbol of solidarity common among the Communist and left-wing movements.
Names featured include Harry Pollitt, J.R. Campbell, Jacques Duclos, the Dean of Canterbury and Paul Robeson. The meeting was to be held at the Harringay Arena on February 12th.
