Orange poster, "Donde Estan?"
The poster, titled "Donde Estan" meaning "Where are they?" features the names and photographs of 119 political prisoners detained by the Pinochet regime who were 'disappeared' soon after their detention. The poster was produced by the Agrupacion de Familiares de Detenidos-Desaparecidos - The Group of Families of the Detained-Disappeared. At the bottom of the list and images reads (translated) "10 years after Pinochet's Commitment to respond we demand truth and justice"
Around 2,500 political prisoners were detained and disappeared during the first year of the military dictatorship; almost none were heard from or seen again.
