Description
OutRage! was a queer direct action group formed in May 1990 and active until 2011. Its aims were to assert the human rights of LGBTQIA people; to fight homophobia, discrimination and violence; and to affirm rights to sexual freedom and self-determination. This is an OutRage! press release criticising London's Old Bailey for the prosecution of 16 men who were engaging in consensual sado-masochism. Known as the 'Spanner Men', OutRage! defended their right to engage in non-illegal sexual activities in private.
