The Gay Labour Group was established in 1975 to campaign for LGBTQIA rights within the labour movement and to encourage LGBTQIA people to join the Labour Party. It has since been renamed LGBT+ Labour. Members do not have to be a member of the Labour Party, as long as they are not members of another political party.
