Description
Colour photograph from a Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) demonstration at RAF Fylingdales. The base in North Yorkshire is part of a missile early warning system with the Yorkshire CND stating that therefore "it could be information from this radar station that initiates a nuclear response from the US and/or the UK to a perceived threat - real or false; intended or accidental."
An annual CND protest at Fylingdales is still held every October.
